home How can Victim Support Wandsworth help?Victim Support has Witness Services attached to all the magistrates’ courts in the UK. The crown prosecution have their own Witness Service in the crown courts.
The Witness Service can:· Let you know how the trial and the court works. · Show you round the courtroom before you have to give evidence. · Show you how the screens and TV link work and tell you how to apply. · Let you know the outcome of the trial when it has finished. · Help you fill in the expenses forms for your travel to the court and any childcare costs or loss of earnings. · Provide a safe place to wait until you are called into the courtroom. · Provide someone to talk to in confidence about how you are feeling and to answer any questions. · Sit with you in the courtroom. · Refer you to other agencies and to Victim Support.
