home Racial IncidentRacist violence is an umbrella term for a number of offences against members of ethnic minority groups. A racist incident can be a single event, or it can be ongoing harassment over a period of time. You are a victim of racism when you are discriminated against because of your skin, ethnic origin, religion or nationality.
This can include: · Insults · Threats · Hate mail · Graffiti · Property damage · Bullying · Physical attacks
How we can helpWe offer emotional support Help with practical needs We can assist with Criminal Injuries Compensation (CICA forms) We offer help with housing transfers and/or repairs applications We ensure you receive adequate service from the Police and other agencies Assist in reporting the crime if you want it reported (see 3rd party reporting) Our Witness Service offers you support and can give you information if your case is going to court We can provide an interpreter We can refer you to other organisations or agencies with your consent.
