home Street CrimeStreet crime is a common crime amongst children and young people. It includes theft, robbery and assault that happen in a public place. This includes having a bag stolen, being robbed of cash, a mobile phone or other personal belongings, being assaulted or threatened.
Street crime can reduce a person’s quality of life by making them feel fearful and frightened of carrying on with everyday life.
People who have been threatened or attacked often say they feel upset, afraid, angry, frustrated, depressed and have lost confidence. All these reactions are normal.
