home Facilities at courtThe Witness Service offers support for all prosecution and defence witnesses. This also includes their family and friends.
Witnesses at South Western Magistrates Court enter the front entrance of the court. For special circumstances witnesses may enter the side entrance of the court but if prior arrangements have been made with the witness co-ordinator. There is a separate waiting area for witness, which is on the ground floor. Here, a volunteer who will look after you during your time in court will explain everything to you.
Refreshments are available, tea, coffee, biscuits, and magazines all free of charge. Alternatively there are vending machines on the first floor out side court three. The toilets are on the first floor next to court three. However, there are no disabled toilets or facilities for children. There is a smoking area on the first floor. Alternatively you may wish to smoke just outside of the court building.
Family and friends are welcome to sit and listen to the trial in the public gallery. |
