have you been affected by crime?We are an independent local charity that helps victims and witnesses in the London Borough of Wandsworth cope with crime.
We offer a free, confidential and non-judgemental service to all sections of the community. We also works for the rights of victims, witnesses and their families and for greater awareness on the effects of crime.
We have trained and experienced staff and volunteers who provide practical and emotional support to victims and witnesses of crime. The crime does not have to have been reported to the police, but if the victim wishes, we can report the crime for them (we are a 3rd party reporting site).
We accept referrals directly from the police, other agencies, or directly from the person/people affected by crime.
At Victim Support Wandsworth, we recognise that people may need:
· Someone to talk to in confidence · Information on Police and court procedures · Liaison with other organisations on behalf of victims · Information on compensation and insurance matters · Contact with other sources of help · To accompany people to the Police station or to court |
